Services
Hft is one of the largest and longest-established charities supporting people with learning disabilities. Find out more about our work. Everyone has a right to the best life possible and that includes people with learning disabilities. But people with learning disabilities face obstacles that are hard to imagine - their challenges can be complex and lifelong.
Hft has gone from strength to strength, and now supports more than 2,200 adults with learning disabilities nationwide to live the best lives possible. Since Hft was established, some things have changed significantly, while others - like our desire to support people with learning disabilities to live the best life possible - have stayed the same.
We provide a range of person-centred services across the UK based around supporting people with learning disabilities to live the best life possible. If you have a relative or friend with a learning disability and would like support and information, Hft's free Family Carer Support Service can help.
Our Fusion Model of Support includes all of the elements that we believe are essential to providing high quality, person-centred services. Our Fusion Model of Support is based on the concept of Person-Centred Active Support (PCAS) - a way of supporting people so that they are engaged in meaningful activity and relationships as active participants.

Have been to this shop a few times & always found the staff friendly. The shop itself is a bit tatty & dark but the items are ok. Have had a few bargains. Is mostly clothes but they also sometimes have some furniture, bric a brac & books. Everything seems reasonably priced. Located in the High Street so very convenient & very close to 2 car parks.
