Having graduated recently, I knew I had the knowledge and passion but lacked the relevant work experience for the IT job I wanted. My application for a job advertised by Big Red Recruitment was taken on by Sophie. Now Sophie is a true definition of a god send who offered me the opportunity to showcase my knowledge and understanding to desired level required for the job and recommended me to my prospective employer.

Throughout the interviews that followed, Sophie kept in constant communication preparing me and offering me much needed advice. I was offered my first job in the profession I have studied for and worked so hard to join. Today marks 6 months since I started my current role as a junior application developer. These 6 months have been very formative to my career as I have picked up so much valuable knowledge and worked with so many amazing people. I would like to thank Hayley for making this possible. If it wasn't for Hayley connecting me through to a company that really suits my interests and skillset, I probably wouldn't be as happy as I am today with the work that I'm doing.

What stood out to me about Hayley is that how professional she was and how she consistently was there for me every step of the application process, which made me feel more confident. Had some dealings with this crew a few years ago now over a consultancy position. Initial contact was positive, but were unable to meet the criteria they promised me, so I secured the role through another agency. May have improved since then, but I can only go by my personal experience.

I recently experienced the Big Red recruitment journey and it was amazing. Hayley was brilliant throughout the recruitment process, very professional. It's been a pleasure working with James. He's got a perfect balance of professionalism and personality, and working alongside him on the project was a great experience. James always hit deadlines, responded quickly, and despite the challenges with losing a couple of candidates to other competitive opportunities, James remained positive and I always had confidence that he would find us a great candidate. James also took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for in my team, checking in with me regularly to make sure the candidates he's looking at were right for us.

I was really impressed with both Jonathan T and Paul M in my recent dealings with Big Red. Both very honest guys and not like the usual employment agents I had dealings with. No hard sell and using a more gentler approach which I really appreciated. Jonathan in particular spent a great deal of time going through the background of the company and despite being busy, I always felt he had time for any questions I asked.

Christopher, was brilliant throughout the recruitment process. I liked the frequent check in calls and the relationship we built up in such a short time, you don't get this from many recruitment consultants. Christopher was aware of my weaknesses in the role advertised but aware of my potential and done everything with the recruiter he could to push me forward. The job he was recuriting for seemed like a tough one. Christopher was very open and honest throughout the process and is an asset to big red.

Dominic was very attentive to find out the best match for both parties. He always were happy to help, advise and prepare for the interview. At each stage he was checking how I am feeling towards the job role, if I am still interested or if I have any concerns. He was very flexible with arranging times, which made it much easier all the interview process.

I believe Dominic excelled in his role and his knowledge about the customer and experience made all transition very easy and pleasant. He is a valuable asset to the Big Red as well as Aldi. At the moment have no suggestions for improvements as I am pleased with overall experience more that 100%.

This was my first forage back into the job market in 11+ years, during which I have had dealings with approx 4-5 recruitment agencies. Without a shadow of doubt, my experience of Big Red, through my contact with Pete F, has been head and shoulders above any of the other companies. Good initial one-to-one consultation/interview and good correspondence between the next two client facing interviews As I had a few potential roles evolving I feel that I was not under pressure to accept the role that Big Red had put me forward for. I would recommend Big Red as my experience has been very positive.

The service from Big Red has been fantastic throughout, from reaching out to me with opportunities, to offer acceptance AND beyond. In the past I have felt that recruitment agents are sided with the company recruiting and often neglect the candidate. I can honestly say Big Red, namely Emily, are the best agent I have dealt with to date and that they would be the first company I would approach should I be looking for opportunities in the future.
