A good maternity nanny is responsible for helping to support parents and their new baby. Typically speaking most maternity nannies will hold some form of specialist newborn qualification such as an MNT certificate or NEST qualification, some maternity nannies who have been in the business a long time will have no formal qualification just many years extensive newborn experience. In addition to this all will have a current ECRB, and paediatric first aid training. All of our maternity nannies have personal interviews and reference checks. We believe it takes a very special maternity nanny to become a BabyWorks maternity nanny.

A good night's sleep is invaluable, especially after giving birth. At The BabyWorks our night nannies come from a wide variety of backgrounds some work in hospitals as midwives or breastfeeding consultants, others have years of extensive experience in night nannying whilst some will have a newborn qualification such as an MNT or NEST certificate. Night nannies generally start their evening at 9/10 pm and finish at 6/7 am the following day (minimum of 9 hours booking) .

Our nanny division provides families with a complete range of childcare services. Our approach is totally unique and focuses on finding the right nanny for the right family. We can help with full time live-in or live-out nannies, ad hoc nannies, emergency nannies and proxy parenting. every nanny is different needs to reflect a similar outlook to that of the family All of our nannies have an ECRB, paediatric first aid training, face-to-face interviews and reference checks. In addition to this, they have to have a minimum of three years nannying experience. Being mums ourselves, we look for a certain type of nanny that is loving, kind, enthusiastic and more importantly someone who makes your children feel safe and secure.

Getting your child into a good sleeping pattern is essential for the whole family. However, behavioural patterns in children aren't always straightforward. Sleep consultants specialise in getting little ones into the right sleeping habits. This often takes a couple of weeks and involves troubleshooting, observing sleep patterns and implementing new routines so that baby can adjust to a new sleep pattern. We always advise parents who are interested in our sleep consultancy service that there is no magic wand and that we have a variety of sleep consultants who use different approaches.

Having twins or triplets can be a daunting thought! At The BabyWorks we have specialist maternity and night nannies who have extensive experience in working with multiple babies. They can provide specific advice and guidance on how to care for and feed your newborns. Many mothers who deliver multiples have C-sections and the weeks that follow are an important time for recuperation.

A breastfeeding consultant specialises in helping new mums breastfeed successfully. This may involve looking at techniques, managing feeding so that mum and baby are happy, and advice on expressing.
