Our clients range from owner-managed businesses and new start-ups to large international corporations. At Huxley Associates we provide contingency and retained recruitment solutions to the Oil & Gas industry covering areas including:
Sub Sea
Topside
Petrochemicals
Marine.
All our consultants work their own vertical markets making them specialists in their own field. This is extremely important, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry due to the shortage of candidates.
Our Oil & Gas consultants have all attended our award-winning training courses and each has a vast amount of experience from the industry. We believe that our clients and candidates are equally important and the key areas that we cover include:
Design (Mechanical, Structural, Piping, Naval, HVAC)
EC&I and Telecoms
General Engineering (Mechanical Engineers, SubSea Engineers, Operations Engineers)
Quality (QA, QC, Welding Inspection, Surveillance, Integrity)
HSEQ
Senior Appointments (Project Managers, Project Engineers, Operations, Planners)
Supply Chain.
Our Service
We have developed a strong client base within these sectors and, maybe even more importantly, a very strong candidate base consisting of Oil and Gas professionals based across the UK and abroad. Our strength lies in our ability to find candidates where our competitors may struggle, while also providing you with a service that will save you time and money. As testament to our specific market knowledge and bespoke service, 85% of our placements now come from repeat business. The service we provide to our clients includes:
Job Confirmation Form before working on the requirement
Progress Reports and End of Project Reports
Salary/Rate Survey
Full screening process (screening call, interview, reference checks, final commitment test)
After-placement service with client and candidate.
Rates
We don't believe in working to a set mark up simply because we believe that this is a key reason as to why the average rates within the industry are increasing significantly above inflation. When working to a mark up it is in the interest of the recruitment agency to put the candidate in at as high a rate as possible in order to make a higher fee on the placement. We would simply ask you for a total budget and then we can find suitable candidates within this figure, whether this would leave us with a 5% or 15% margin.

Was enquiring about a role, spoke with Heather. The moment I told her that the rate was too low, she pretty much hung up on me. You would think they would discuss/negotiate but not here. Find them overall rude and unprofessional. 1 star is too generous! Stay away from Huxley, bogus agency! They're just after your resume to build their database!

They always check up to see how I'm doing on the job. They are easy to contact in case if I have any issues. There are 2 things I wish for them to change. 1. They change my representative a lot and I don't know why. Building a relationship with a representative should be important 2. The health care benefit package sucks and is extremely expensive. I wish they would correct the healthcare package the most. Other than that they are okay to work for.

Unprofessional and rude! Joseph Cooper refused to answer any questions about the position or client while simultaneously demanding I provide him with my network of contacts, an updated resume, and time for a phone call, without so much as the common courtesy of informing me whom he'd be sharing these materials with. If Mr. Cooper's behavior is at all representative of the quality of employees at Huxley, I'd avoid this organization at any cost.
