Stopgap contacted me in regard to a role I had applied for through them. Despite the link between my experience and the role requirements not being linear, John has the vision to see how someone of my skills would be perfectly suited to the role and the benefits to both me and the employer in thinking a little outside the box. John kept me in the loop the entire process, though all interview stages and gave feedback every time - which is the holy grail of recruiters as so many often ghost you after the first call. Stopgap is unlike any recruiter I've gone through to get a job before. This is the second time I've used them to find a great new role, and both times I have been well looked after, supported, and communicated with at every step along the way - even if they had no news, which is what every nervous candidate needs! They take time and care in getting to know you, your strengths and abilities, and most importantly your potential, to find you the role best suited to you.

It helps that they're the most friendly people you could ever wish to get a phone call from. I had such fun phone calls with Tess, Sarah, and Claudine through the recruitment process and I feel that because they took the time to get to know me- professionally and a little personally (my character etc.) they were able to find a role which was a perfect fit for me.

They go out of their way to make sure both client and candidate are 100% happy and clear on every stage of the recruitment process, and it puts your mind at ease knowing you can trust them implicitly to be open and honest in every aspect. I've just referred two marketing friends to them because I know they'll be looked after. A brilliant company with the nicest people makes the job-hunting slog and recruitment process a pleasure, rather than a stressful chore.

They also send you a little present once you've got a job, which is a gorgeous finishing touch. When it's time to move on from the role they have just placed me in, I wouldn't hesitate going back to them, and have to say I'll quite miss the friendly chats with Sarah and Claudine!

Stopgap were invaluable in securing me a move into my ideal role. Supportive and attentive throughout the whole process, I felt like they genuinely wanted me to succeed and did everything could to help me; from prepping for the initial interview, throughout the assessment process, all the way to chasing up a final decision. I think Stopgap are the only recruitment agency I would give a 5* review to. Both as a candidate and a recruiting manager, I've found the team to be friendly, honest, responsive and highly communicative. You'd think all recruiters are like this, but many lack the consistency Stopgap always deliver. What's more, everyone having relevant industry experience is a huge plus.
