Dr. Nelson seemed to be on call the weekend I was brought into the ER. He was not reachable for hours while I sat there with a perforated appendix as he was at a barbeque! Performed an emergency appendectomy and refused to give me anti biotics in spite of me asking for them. Just gave me a number to call and discharged me. I kept calling the number and received advice to 'buck up from the assistant Patricia. Had to be rushed to the ER a week later with a massive infection filled tumor from the surgery. Patricia claims she did not receive any of my messages that I left on the office number. Dr. Nelson ignored my email after the fact. Shameful the lack of responsibility taken and the level of medical care provided. I could have died from their negligent after care! Thanks god for the doctors at Mt. Sinai for treating me properly after this botched job!
